LG recently launched the UltraGear 45GS95QE OLED ultrawide gaming monitor in the Chinese market. The monitor is now available for purchase on JD.com for 9999 yuan (US$ 1,382).
This model features a 44.5-inch OLED 2K
display with a resolution of 3440×1440, ensuring crisp and vibrant visuals. The
monitor’s significant appeal comes from its 240Hz refresh rate and a remarkably
quick 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time, aimed at providing a fluid and
seamless gaming experience.
The monitor is designed with an 800R
curvature, closely mimicking the natural curvature of the human eye, which
enhances the immersive experience for users by providing a more natural viewing
angle across the entire screen. It offers a broad color spectrum with 98.5%
coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and supports high dynamic range content up
to HDR TrueBlack 400, making it suitable for both intense gaming sessions and
professional color work.
Brightness levels are substantial, with a
standard brightness of 275 nits and a peak brightness of 1300 nits, which helps
in maintaining clear and vivid images. This is further supported by the AGLR
(Anti-Glare Low Reflection) technology, which minimizes reflections and glare
from external light sources, thus reducing distractions during use.
From an ergonomic standpoint, the LG
45GS95QE is equipped with an L-shaped stand that provides a range of
adjustments including rotation, tilt, and height, allowing users to find their
optimal viewing position. The stand also integrates RGB ambient lighting,
adding an aesthetic value that appeals to gamers.
The monitor is equipped with multiple
connectivity options, including DP1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports, supporting high-resolution
and high-refresh-rate inputs. For multitasking efficiency, it supports
picture-by-picture (PBP) and picture-in-picture (PIP) modes, allowing users to
display two input sources simultaneously on one screen.
LG has included several features aimed at
enhancing the user’s gaming experience. These include Nvidia G-Sync
compatibility to reduce screen tearing, a Black Stabilizer for improved
visibility in dark scenes, Dynamic Action Sync for reduced input lag, and a
crosshair feature to enhance shooting accuracy in games.
Additionally, the OLED Care technology is
incorporated to mitigate the risk of burn-in and prolong the lifespan of the
display, ensuring that the monitor remains reliable over extended use. For
color accuracy, the LG Calibration Studio can be utilized to fine-tune
settings, enhancing the precision needed for creative tasks.
