The iQOO brand has a trio of new devices aimed at the midrange segment. Z9 Turbo leads the pack with its iQOO 12-inspired design, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and 6,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The vanilla Z9, not to be confused with the one launched in India, features a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip and the same 6,000 mAh battery and 80W fast charging. The Z9x is the affordable entry with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and 44W charging.
iQOO Z9 Turbo and Z9 feature 6.78-inch
AMOLED displays with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Both phones pack
16MP front-facing cameras and embedded fingerprint scanners. Z9x gets a
6.72-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and an 8MP selfie cam. Z9 Turbo and
Z9 house 50MP LYT-600 main sensors with the former also getting an 8MP
ultrawide lens while the latter gets a 2MP depth helper. Z9x comes with a 50MP
main shooter and 2MP depth sensor.
Z9 Turbo is the most capable performer out
of the bunch thanks to its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset which is also paired
with a display chip that takes some strain off the chipset during intensive
gaming sessions. Z9 Turbo also gets a larger vapor chamber, faster UFS 4.0 storage
and LPDDR5X RAM compared to UFS 2.2 and LPDDR4X on the Z9 and Z9x. All three
phones boot OriginOS 4 based on Android 14 and come with IP64 ingress
protection
