Oukitel launched the OT8 tablet "for fun and education and work" in January, and now we learn the brand is set to introduce a new rugged tablet at the end of this month, which is called Oukitel RT8.
The Oukitel RT8 will pack an 11" 2K
screen surrounded by thick bezels, with one of them housing a 32MP selfie
camera. Around the back, you'll have a triple camera setup comprising a 48MP
primary camera (Sony sensor), a 20MP Night Vision camera, and a 5MP macro
camera.
The Oukitel RT8 will come with a leather
hand strap as a standard accessory to make it easy to carry around. However,
the brand will also offer a premium alloy bracket as an optional accessory,
which can be used as a stand when watching videos, having a video call, or
doing some other work.
The rugged tablet will be powered by the
Helio G99 SoC, boot Android 13, and have 6GB RAM and 256GB of storage onboard,
expandable by up to 1TB. Fueling the entire package will be a 20,000 mAh
battery with 33W charging support. Being a rugged tablet, the Oukitel RT8 will
expectedly have IP68/69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications. It will be 15.1mm
thick and weigh 996.7g.
The Oukitel RT8 is expected to be priced
at around US$ 300 (€ 275/INR 24,855) initially and will be sold through Oukitel's
official store and Amazon.
