Unveiling its official domestic name in China through a recent 3C certification, the Lenovo YOGA Air 14 laptop is gearing up for launch. Previously known as the Yoga Slim 7 / Lenovo Slim 7 in international markets, this mid-to-high-end thin and light notebook made its debut at CES 2024 and is expected to hit US store shelves in April, starting at US$ 1,049.99 (¥ 7,560).
Carrying the sleek design lineage of
recent YOGA series laptops, the Air 14 features a stamped aluminum alloy body
and boasts Intel Evo certification, signifying its adherence to performance and
thinness standards. Under the hood, users can choose between an Intel Core
Ultra 5 125H or Ultra 7 155H processor, ensuring smooth performance for
everyday tasks and demanding workloads alike. The memory options consist of
16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x-7560 RAM, soldered directly to the motherboard for
enhanced efficiency and a slimmer profile.
The visual experience is delivered through
a 1920 x 1200 resolution OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. This panel
boasts a peak brightness of 400 nits, offering ample visibility for various
lighting conditions. The display is also available in a touch-enabled option
for those who prefer a more interactive experience, with the touch version
adding a slight weight increase of 0.04kg.
Powering the device is a 65Wh battery,
paired with a 65W power adapter for efficient charging. The 1080p resolution
webcam caters to video conferencing needs and incorporates infrared face
recognition technology for secure logins. Additionally, the webcam features a
physical privacy mask, offering users control over their camera access, and a
ToF sensor, which can potentially enhance depth-sensing capabilities for
applications like augmented reality.
The YOGA Air 14 boasts a well-rounded
selection of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-speed data
transfer and display connectivity, two USB-A 5Gbps ports for peripherals, an
HDMI 2.1 port for connecting to external displays, and a headphone jack for
wired audio devices. Measuring 312 x 221 x 14.9 mm and weighing 1.39kg for the
non-touch version and 1.43kg for the touch version, the laptop offers a balance
of portability and functionality, making it a suitable choice for students,
professionals, and content creators on the go.
