The popular battery brand Energizer has made its own version of a clam-shell type foldable and showcased it at MWC 2024. The device features a premium-looking design with two-tone marble-like patterns. You can see a cover display that shows the time, date, day, and battery of the phone next to its 2 cameras.
If you open it, the flip can be wide as a
6.67-inch vertical with an OLED panel, 2400 x 1080 FHD+ resolution. Inside,
Energizer used a chipset unknown on foldables and a 2.2GHz 6nm Helio G99
octa-core chip with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Usually, this chip is present on
entry-level devices a rather bizarre move from the brand.
It is paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB
storage and features a tiny 3,400mAh battery. Again an unusual move for a
"battery brand". For cameras, it has a 64MP primary shooter + 8MP
ultra-wide sensor while at the front, it has a 25MP selfie camera. So far these
are only the details mentioned.
Energizer Ultimate U660S priced at EUR 499.
It will only be available for sale in November as per Energizer.
