Last year, Vivo launched the Vivo Y100 5G smartphone in India and China, each with different features. The Indian version had a Dimensity 900 chip, while the Chinese version used the Snapdragon 695. Now, according to a report by Appuals, there’s a new version of the Vivo Y100 5G on its way. The publication revealed images and details of the upcoming Vivo Y100 5G and it seems this phone will have a different design and hardware setup compared to the earlier models.
The latest model shows off a fresh design,
featuring three camera rings on the back. It’s expected to come in blue and
purple, with the purple version sporting a leather-like finish and an
anti-stain coating. The phone will be
quite slim, with a thickness of 7.79mm and a weight of 185g. It will have dual
stereo speakers and IP54 water resistance for added durability.
On the front, the Vivo Y100 5G will have a
6.67-inch AMOLED screen, offering a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak
brightness of 1200 nits. The front camera is neatly tucked in a small
punch-hole on the display. Performance duties will be handled by the Qualcomm
Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It will be accompanied by 8GB of RAM and storage
options of 128GB or 256GB, with the added flexibility of up to 8GB virtual RAM.
On the back, you’ll find a triple camera
setup comprising a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP
auxiliary lens. A sizeable 5000mAh
battery will power the phone supported by 80W fast charging through the USB-C
port. Security will be handled by an under-display fingerprint sensor. Pricing
and launch details remain under wraps at the moment.
