After the announcement of the Galaxy S24 Series, Samsung teased a Galaxy Ring meant for tracking health. Currently, the South Korean tech firm is developing a smart ring. During the Galaxy Unpacked event, the aforementioned is claimed to feature a " powerful and accessible health and wellness device".
Aside from a brief video demonstrating how
the Galaxy Ring appears, Samsung did not reveal much about the ring. The phone
maker did not indicate when the device would be available or how much it would
cost, for instance. Meanwhile, it's not surprising for Samsung to delve into
the Smart Ring business. After all, there seems to be a market for it and 2024
might be the year for releasing such a device.
In 2023, Samsung filed a patent for a
smart ring that features ECG and some smart home controls. Considering
Samsung's focus on AI in the latest S24 Series, there might be a chance for the
tech giant to utilize it on the upcoming Galaxy Ring at some point.
