The Motorola Moto G Play (2023) unveiled last December is due for a successor. Motorola hasn't divulged anything about the Moto G Play (2024) yet, but thanks to OnLeaks and SMARTmania, we know what the smartphone will look like. The Motorola Moto G Play (2024) packs a centered punch-hole display and, expectedly, has a thick chin. Around the back, it has a rectangular camera bump with two circles, but only one houses a camera since the other is for the flash. The Moto G Play (2023) had three rear cameras.
The Motorola Moto G Play (2024) also has
flat frames, with the volume button and power key on the right side and a SIM
card slot on the left. The power button will also double as a fingerprint
scanner. The smartphone has a USB-C port at the bottom, flanked by a microphone
and speaker, with a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.
The source also shared some specs. The
Motorola Moto G Play (2024) will be powered by a Snapdragon processor, but it's
unclear if it will support 5G connectivity. The smartphone will boot Android 13
and have 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage onboard, but there will likely
be more memory options.
The Motorola Moto G Play (2024) will pack
a 6.5" FullHD+ 90Hz LCD and a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging. Its
primary camera on the rear will use a 50MP sensor, while the selfie camera on
the front will use an 8MP sensor. The Moto G Play (2024) will come in multiple
colors, but the one that leaked renders show us is the Sapphire Blue version.
The smartphone is rumored to cost US$ 169 in the US and is expected to go official
next month.
