iQOO is gearing up to launch the iQOO Neo 9 Pro smartphone in February in India. Ahead of its launch, the brand has cut down the pricing of the iQOO Neo 7 5G’s 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. Launched in February 2023, the smartphone comes with many impressive specifications. Let’s take it at the discounted price and see if the device is still worth buying.
Currently, the iQOO Neo 7 12GB + 256GB
model is selling for Rs 27,999, down from its usual price of Rs 31,999. For this
price, you get a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz
refresh rate, and a 1300 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, the phone
features a Dimensity 8200 processor. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery
with support for 120W fast charging.
For optics, the phone features an
OIS-enabled 64MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For
selfies, there is a 16MP front-facing camera. The phone launched with and is
currently on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13, however, the Android 14 update is
expected to arrive soon. At launch, iQOO promised 2 major Android updates and
three years of security updates. So it is likely that Android 15 could be the
last update this device receives.
In the sub-30,000 price range, there are
currently a lot of attractive choices like the OnePlus Nord 3 5G, and Nothing
Phone (1). People looking for high performance in this range can check out the
Nord 3 5G, while if you are more interested in the camera and overall user
experience, the Nothing Phone (1) will be a good option.
