The XNote smart notebook has been launched under crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The new notebook comes with ChatGPT support and has reportedly raised more than US$ 200,000 in backing. The crowdfunding drive for the XNote has been a success as it enters its final hours. The model is expected to begin shipping in February 2024.
XNote is a smart notebook that works with
an accompanying smart pen and XNote app to digitize handwritten notes. It can
also mirror written notes on a paired smartphone. Its smartpen connects to a
paired smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0. It then synchronizes stored
data to servers using SHA-256 encryption. The XNote can automatically detect
and categorize writing tasks and calendar appointments. The device supports
more than 50 languages for its enhanced versatility.
The XNote is capable of creating summaries
using ChatGPT, as well as offering an array of AI functionality. Through the
smart notebook’s sophisticated technology, users can query past entries,
request concise summaries of notes, and generate study quizzes. The Smart Pen
is equipped with a specialized sensor that accurately captures the writer’s
pattern. Each stroke, word, and doodle is recorded using the unique patterns on
the notebook. The slew of AI functions is a major distinguishing feature of the
XNote although it is only available on the XNote Premium subscription version
at US$ 9 per month.
XNote is offering the Premium package at a
launch price of US$ 59 per year. The XNote combined bundle without a subscription
is priced at US$ 179 on Kickstarter. This also includes the XNote Smart Pen, charging
cable, a pack of five ink refills, and a month Premium subscription. The
successful Kickstarter campaign for the XNote is evidence of the appeal of
customers to the new smart notebook. It is expected that shipping costs will
increase the overall price of the XNote beyond its US$ 179 price tag.
