Xiaomi has unveiled the Outdoor Camera CW700S which is aimed at improving its home surveillance offerings. This is coming just a week after the company unveiled the slightly cheaper Outdoor Camera CW300 in China.
A groundbreaking feature of the CW700S is
its pioneering dual-lens system, featuring two 4-megapixel lenses for telephoto
and short focus. Boasting 2.5K ultra-light picture quality, this camera
captures details with unparalleled clarity, offering a level of precision that
was previously unmatched in outdoor surveillance.
The camera’s 9x hybrid zoom capability
stands out as a game-changer, allowing seamless transitions between telephoto
and short focus screens. The result is an immersive surveillance experience
with minimal image switch effects, providing users with unparalleled control
and adaptability in monitoring their surroundings.
The camera is equipped with two long-focus
fill lights and two short-focus fill lights, allowing it to intelligently
recognize human figures in low-light conditions, automatically illuminating the
fill lights for enhanced visibility. The intelligent full-color night vision
function, coupled with an impressive F/1.6 large aperture, ensures vibrant
color images even in extremely weak light environments, setting a new standard
for nocturnal surveillance.
Mechanically, the camera features a
horizontal gimbal rotation angle of up to 355° and a vertical gimbal rotation
angle of up to 100°. This makes it capable of panoramic coverage. The camera
also comes with an IP66 dustproof and waterproof rating which ensures it can
withstand tough weather conditions making it ideal for use outdoors.
As for the pricing, the Xiaomi Outdoor
Camera CW700S carries an attractive price tag of 399 yuan (US$ 58). Unfortunately,
there is no word as to when this surveillance camera will be available outside
China.
