Vivo's flagship X100 series is now globally available, though specific market availability is yet to be confirmed. The vivo X100 Pro and vivo X100 debuted in China back in November with similar hardware. Both pioneer the Dimensity 9300 chipset with only performance cores and have the same 6.78-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED displays with 1260p resolution and 1-120Hz variable refresh rate. The panels can crank out up to 3,000 nits peak brightness and offer 2,160Hz PWM dimming for eye protection. There are built-in fingerprint readers as well as 32MP front-facing cameras housed inside a punch-hole cutout.
Both phones are rated IP68 for dust and
water protection, ship with Android 14 with vivo's Funtouch OS 14 on top, and
come in two colors - Startrail Blue and Asteroid Black. The X100 Pro has a
standout camera system highlighted by the 50MP 1-inch IMX989 main camera, and
the unique floating periscope zoom camera - a 100mm f/2.57 lens in front of a
50MP 1/2.0-inch sensor - also the first mobile zoom to have Zeiss APO
certification. There's also a 50MP 15mm ultrawide. The Pro benefits from vivo's
newest 6nm V3 imaging chip.
The vivo X100 Pro also has the bigger
battery - a 5,400mAh unit with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The vivo
X100 has a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging and a slightly
watered-down camera system. The 23mm wide angle has a 50MP 1/1.49-inch sensor,
a 70mm f/2.6 zoom with a 64MP 1/2.0-inch sensor, and the same 15mm ultrawide.
The X100 has the older V2 imaging chip installed.
The vivo X100 comes in two configurations
- 12/256GB and 16/512GB. The vivo X100 Pro is available in a single 16/512GB
unit. Pricing will be detailed later on.
