ViewSonic Corp. recently introduced the M10 portable RGB laser projector, aiming to bring innovation to the home entertainment landscape. The M10 stands out with its use of advanced RGB laser technology, departing from the typical single blue laser beam approach. This RGB laser tech produces red, green, and blue rays, expanding the color gamut to meet the BT.2020 standard.
Beyond its visual capabilities, the M10
prioritizes a user-friendly setup with instant autofocus using Time of Flight
(ToF) technology and auto horizontal/vertical keystone correction. This
flexibility caters to various usage scenarios, including wireless screen
mirroring and direct connections to smartphones. It even supports ceiling projection
without requiring a tripod.
In addition to its technical features, the
M10 doubles as a Bluetooth speaker, equipped with a built-in Harman Kardon
speaker. This dual functionality makes it suitable for outdoor gatherings or
personal entertainment. With a throw range of 1.06m to 4.78m, a native
resolution of 1080p, and a maximum brightness of 2,200 lumens, the M10 aims to
deliver a versatile visual experience. Regarding the price, ViewSonic has not
disclosed this information yet, leaving potential consumers curious about the
affordability of this portable projector.
In related news, ViewSonic also recently
unveiled the LX700-4K projector that can be paired with an Xbox console. It has
3,500 ANSI lumens brightness, and the ability to project games at 1440p and
1080p resolutions, with 120Hz and 240Hz refresh rates respectively. Unlike the
M10, the LX700-4K projector is already on sale in the market.
