Redmi 13R 5G


Redmi has silently announced a new smartphone named the Redmi 13R 5G in China. The device offers key specifications, such as a 90Hz display, a Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, and 50-megapixel dual rear cameras. 

The Redmi 13R 5G features a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop-notch screen. Protected by Gorilla Glass, it offers an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 450 nits. Powering the device is the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, complemented by 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Redmi 13R 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The phone runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14 and has a side-facing fingerprint sensor for security.

In the imaging department, the Redmi 13R 5G offers a 5-megapixel front camera, and on the back, it has a 50-megapixel primary camera, an auxiliary lens, and an LED flash. The device comes with other features, such as dual SIM, 5G, a USB-C port, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of dimensions, the Redmi 13R 5G measures 168.05 x 77.91 x 8.19mm and weighs 195 grams.

To sum up, the Redmi 13R 5G is a rebranded version of the Redmi 13C 5G, which recently went official in India. The only noticeable difference between the two phones is that they have different rear designs and dimensions. To put this into context, the 13C 5G measures 168 x 78 x 8.09mm and weighs 192 grams. The Redmi 13R 5G is priced at 999 Yuan (US$ 140)) for the sole 4GB+128GB variant. It comes in three distinct colors – Star Rock Black, Fantasy Purple, and Wave Water Green.

The Redmi 13R 5G is acknowledged as a rebranded version of the Redmi 13C 5G, sharing its specifications and features, making it a reliable and cost-effective choice in the 5G smartphone market.
