Realme recently held a launch event in China to announce its new flagship phone, the Realme GT 5 Pro. The event also saw the launch of the new 50W Wireless AirVOOC charger that will be compatible with the new smartphone. Let’s take a look at the specifications and pricing of this charging accessory.
The 50W Wireless AirVOOC charger is a
sleek, white-colored stand featuring AirVOOC branding on its front. Its
internal design comprises two magnetic coils at the back, where the phone
rests, and a printed circuit board housed within a small hood at the rear.
The charging stand also has an air-cooling
design to keep the phone’s temperature under control while charging.
Additionally, the charger boasts multiple protection mechanisms that safeguard
against overheating, overcurrent, overvoltage, and other potential issues.
Notably, the FOD (Foreign Object
Detection) feature intelligently detects metal objects and automatically cuts
off power, enhancing safety during the charging process. Compatibility-wise, Relame says the 50W
Wireless AirVOOC charger requires an adapter and data cable supporting the 65W
PD/80W SUPERVOOC protocol or higher, alongside a Realme phone that supports
AirVOOC technology.
Furthermore, the charger exhibits decent
versatility. It offers up to 15W charging for Qi EPP-certified mobile phones
and smart devices, while also providing up to 5W charging for Qi BPP-certified
devices.
This charging accessory comes at an
affordable price of 339 Yuan in China and is available for purchase via the
company’s official site. Realme’s new
charging accessory shares a close resemblance to the recently launched 50W
wireless charger from OnePlus. The OnePlus charger is currently available for
purchase at US$ 59.99 at Giztop, with shipment available all over the world.
