Oppo appears to be prepping a new tablet for the global market, dubbed the Oppo Pad Neo. The tablet received NBTC certification back in September followed by the IMDA and SIRIM listing. Now the same device has popped up on the Bluetooth SIG certification site. The Bluetooth SIG listing reveals the model number (OPD2303) and confirms Bluetooth 5.2 support for the tablet.
Interestingly, the same model number
belongs to the OnePlus Pad Go, suggesting the Pad Neo might be a rebranded
version for the global market. This wouldn’t be the first time Oppo rebrands a
OnePlus device. They recently launched the Oppo Pad Air 2 in China, also a
rebranded OnePlus Pad Go.
Therefore, we can expect similar specs for
the Pad Neo. This likely includes an 11.35-inch 2.4K LCD display with a 7:5
aspect ratio. It might come with 8GB RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB,
powered by the Helio G99 chipset. A large 8,000mAh battery with USB-C charging
(USB 2.0 standard) is also likely.
Camera-wise, an 8MP front camera and rear
camera are expected. For immersive audio, four speakers with Dolby Atmos
support could be onboard. The software side might see ColorOS based on Android
14, with a microSD card slot for expandable storage.
Oppo hasn’t announced an official launch
date for the Pad Neo for the global market. However since the device has
appeared on various certifications, the launch could be imminent. We might even
see its release alongside the Oppo Reno 11 series which launched in China back
in November.
