Honor launched a new smartphone today with the name X50i+. It comes with a 108 MP main camera, a light body and a relatively low price. The Honor X50i+ is built around a 6.7” AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and up to 90 Hz refresh rate. There is an 8 MP selfie shooter inside an oval cutout – that's correct, there is one camera, but Honor made a larger gap, so the setup looks a bit more complicated.
Mediatek provided the chipset – it is a
Dimensity 6080, coupled with 12 GB RAM and 256/512 GB storage. The phone comes
with MagicOS 7.2 out of the box, which is on top of Android 13. The camera
design sure looks interesting with the flattened circle, but the sensors behind
are nothing extraordinary. There is a 108 MP main camera with an f/1.75
aperture and a 2 MP depth sensor.
The phone is just 6.78 mm thin in its base
and weighs only 166 grams, making it one of the lightest smartphones launched
in 2023. The battery capacity is 4,500 mAh, and the phone supports a relatively
tame 33W charging. Honor X50i+ is available in China in four colors – Powder
Gold and Light Blue with sparkling details, Black and Green with plain panels.
Prices are CNY 1,599 (US$ 220) for the 256 GB version and CNY 1,799 (US$ 245) for the
512 GB variant.
