Xiaomi previously introduced the MIJIA Dictionary Pen, which was initially under crowdfunding. However, the device is now available for purchase in China at 699 Yuan, roughly equivalent to US$ 96. This smart gadget comes with a laser-assisted scanner that efficiently captures and scans multi-line and full-page photo translations, converting them into text for various purposes.
Xiaomi MIJIA Dictionary Pen is equipped
with a camera capable of capturing entire paragraphs. Users can share the text
and photos with other apps for editing, printing, and sharing across different
devices. Additionally, the thin screen allows users to preview the captured
text effectively.
The pen features a dual microphone for
better recording capability, and its AI noise-reduction algorithms offer
enhanced voice translation. It supports language translation between various
languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, German, and
more.
Xiaomi claims the device achieves a 99
percent success rate in recognizing English and Chinese OCR text. Moreover, the
Xiaomi MIJIA Dictionary Pen includes built-in support for over 15 million
Chinese and English words, drawing from dictionaries such as the Oxford
Advanced English-Chinese Dictionary, Kingsoft PowerWord, and several other
local Chinese language dictionaries.
The Pen is now retailing via JD.com for
the price of 699 Yuan.
