Lava has launched a new budget smartphone in India. The product in question is called the Lava O1 and it brings decent specs and a particularly affordable price tag. The handset comes after the domestic brand launched the Blaze Pro 5G with a 120Hz display. Lava O1 features a large LCD panel, a 5,000mAh battery, Android 13, and more.
Lava O1 brings a basic design with a flat
back, featuring a rectangular camera setup. The handset is built around a
6.5-inch IPS LCD display, which offers an HD+ (1600 × 720 pixels) resolution.
The panel refreshes at a 90Hz refresh rate and has a waterdrop notch, nesting
the selfie camera.
Under the hood, the handset is powered by
the UniSoC T606 processor with Mali G57 GPU. The chipset is paired with 4GB RAM
(+ 3GB extended RAM) and 64GB internal storage that can be expanded with a
microSD card. The handset runs Android 13 on the software front and measures
163.7 × 75.3 × 9.3mm. It weighs around 199 g.
For clicking pictures, the Lava O1 brings
a 13MP primary rear camera, paired with an AI lens and LED flash. On the front,
you get a 5MP selfie camera. The budget smartphone is fueled by a 5000mAh
battery unit that supports 18W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. For
security, the handset brings a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. You also get a
3.5mm audio jack.

with a price tag of Rs 6,999 (US$ 84) for 4GB + 64GB configuration. However, the
will handset will be offered at a discounted rate of Rs 6,299, thanks to a 10%
