Xiaomi is working on a new flagship smartwatch, reveals leakster Digital Chat Station on their Weibo profile. The tentatively named Watch S3 will have a bigger battery than the S2, and for the first time a Xiaomi wearable will support LTE connectivity.
The battery of the Watch S3 will be 520
mAh, which is slightly better than the 500 mAh cell on the Watch S2. The OLED
screen will reportedly gain adaptive refresh rate, improving the battery life
significantly. The upcoming watch will also support 4G connectivity and native
voice calls.
The leakster added in comments' replies
the watch is likely to launch at the end of the year at the Xiaomi 14 series
launch event. The smartphones usually arrive in December as some of the first
devices with Qualcomm's latest flagship Snapdragon chipset, and it looks like
this year will be no exception.
