Tecno launched Phantom V Fold at the beginning of the year, bringing fresh competition to the Galaxy Z Fold devices outside of China. Now, the company is working on a rival for the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Moto Razr 40 devices, and the device will be called Phantom V Flip.
The smartphone appeared on Google Play
Console, revealing key details like RAM, chipset, and display resolution. The
Phantom V Flip will come with 1080p resolution screen and 480 ppi - this would
mean about 6.9” diagonal of the unfolded display. The chipset is listed as
Mediatek MT6893Z/CZA, which it likely the Dimensity 1300 with a 3.0 GHz CPU.
RAM is listed as 8 GB, and the phone with model number AD11 will ship with
Android 13.
All these specs are barely a surprise - we
are more curious how Tecno would address the cover display, which has been
getting bigger and bigger with other makers. Previous reports suggested a 1.39”
OLED and a camera ring with 64 MP main and 13 MP ultrawide shooters. The
battery capacity is reportedly 3,900 mAh and top-ups are supported at up to 45W
rates.
