We already know that the Galaxy S23 FE is right around the corner. Last we heard, Samsung is gearing up for a September launch, and an official support page for the device has already been spotted online, so things are definitely moving along. Now, the eagerly-anticipated S23 FE has finally stopped by the TENAA certification authority, offering up some live photos and additional specs details in the process. Expectedly, the phone looks nearly identical to its flagship non-FE siblings.
In terms of specs details, we know that
the phone measures 158.0 x 76.5 x 8.2mm and tips the scale at 210 grams. That's
pretty compact, as was previously expected from the already-known display
diagonal of 6.4 inches. The panel in question will have a Full HD+ resolution
of 2340 x 1080 pixels. In case you were wondering, that's the familiar Samsung
19.5:9 aspect ratio. The TENAA doc also reveals that the display supports 16
million colors, or 8-bit color depth, which was expected. We know from earlier
leaks that the display should support a 120Hz refresh rate and have an
under-display fingerprint reader.
Rumors have suggested that the S23 FE will
come with either a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or an Exynos 2200 chipset, depending on
the market. The TENAA device being certified seems to be rocking the Snapdragon
chip with an octa-core CPU configuration and a 2.99 GHz peak frequency. It is
paired with 8GB of RAM and, according to the doc, either 128GB or 256GB of
onboard storage.
The phone will have a 50MP main camera, an
8MP telephoto (likely 3x), and a 12MP ultrawide. There's a 10MP selfie camera
on the opposite end. The included battery is a 4370mAh pack, most likely with
25W charging. Naturally, expect Android 13 with OneUI 5.1.
