It turns out that there are three new vivo V29 phones on the way, not just two – vivo V29, V29 Pro and V29e. This is in addition to the already available V29 Lite, of course, that one launched in June. The trio appeared on the Google Play Support Devices List and the FCC, which revealed some details.
The vanilla vivo V29 apparently packs a
4,505mAh battery with 80W wired charging. That’s interesting as the V29 Pro was
revealed (by vivo itself) to have a 5,000mAh/66W battery (the vivo V27 and V27
Pro both had 4,600mAh/66W batteries).
The Pro will be powered by a Dimensity
8200, while the vanilla model will be using a Snapdragon 778G+, according to
the latest unofficial info. This should be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB
storage, we will know more once these hit the Google Play Console and the
various benchmarks.
Based on the V27 series, the V29 should
bring large 120Hz AMOLED displays with some impressive selfie cameras set
within. There aren’t much details on those yet, however. vivo has not set an
announcement date for the V29 trio, but going through the process with the FCC
and Google means that it should be close.
