The iQOO Z8 was expected to arrive in September, but the company has announced the smartphone will actually be unveiled on August 31. iQOO has also confirmed that the Z8 will be powered by the Dimensity 8200 SoC with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage onboard. However, there will likely be more memory options that are yet to be confirmed.
The photo and video teasers shared by iQOO
revealed the Z8's design and color options. The smartphone will sport a dual
camera setup on the rear, with the primary camera having OIS. iQOO also
revealed that the Z8 will support 120W charging, and it will have a 3.5mm
headphone jack on top, joined by what's seemingly the IR Blaster. It will
feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The iQOO Z8 will be unveiled on August 31
in China at 7PM local time, but you can expect the brand to reveal more about
the phone in the lead-up to the event to build hype around it. The Z8x will
also be launched at the same event, but iQOO hasn't divulged much about it yet
