Xiaomi has just launched a new thin and light notebook in the Chinese market. The device in question is the Redmi Book 15E which features some notable specs and features with an all-metal body.
The Chinese tech giant’s new Redmi Book
15E is made for working professionals and was first unveiled for enterprises
earlier this year. This laptop sports a 15.6 inch display that offers Full HD
resolution and DC dimming as well. It weighs just 1.8 kilograms and has a
thickness of 18.9mm, which makes it perfect for people working remotely. One of
its highlight aspects is undoubtedly its Apple MacBook-like metallic design
that offers a premium look and feel.
Under the hood, the Redmi Book 15E is
equipped with the Intel i7-11390H processor, but can even be bought in a more
affordable i5-11320H CPU configuration as well. The 11th Gen Intel Core i7
features 4 cores and 8 threads with a boost clock of 5.0GHz and 12MB L3 cache.
This chipset is paired with 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.
The notebook is powered by a 46Wh battery
pack that supports 65W fast charging, which can power the device to 50 percent
in just 30 minutes. As of right now, Xiaomi is offering the Redmi Book 15E for
open reservations on the Xiaomi Mall website. It has a starting price tag of
2,899 Yuan, while the i7 variant is being sold for 3,299 Yuan.
