A recent update on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series reveals the possible existence of a fifth tablet, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. The tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra, are expected to be unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked Event on July 26, 2023. According to reports, a tipster on Twitter, Anthony (@TheGalox), has shared a screenshot from Geekbench 6, showcasing the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ with the model number SM-X616B. The tablet’s benchmark scores indicate a single-core score of 987 points and a multi-core score of 2731 points. It is speculated that the device will feature Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 chipset and may come pre-installed with the Android 13 operating system. Additionally, the tablet is rumored to offer an 8GB RAM variant.
Comparing the multi-core score of the
Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ with its predecessor in the Galaxy Tab S series, the Galaxy
Tab S7 FE 5G, the upcoming tablet boasts a 40% higher score. Previously,
display consultant Ross Young had provided information on color variants for
the Galaxy Tab S9 series. According to Young, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+
are likely to be available in various colors, such as grey, light green, light
pink, and silver. He also mentioned that the S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra devices will
be offered in beige and grey color options.
Apart from these details, further
information about the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ remains limited. More updates are
expected in the near future. It’s worth noting that the Galaxy Tab S9 FE has
also been spotted on Geekbench 6 with a similar model number (SM-X516B) and is
anticipated to feature the same Exynos 1380 chipset.
