itel has been maintaining a steady release of budget-friendly smartphones in the Indian market. Their latest addition is the itel S23, and it has started teasing the upcoming itel A60s. Today, the brand officially announced the impending launch of another device called the itel P40 Plus. A dedicated microsite showcasing important details regarding its specifications, design, and pricing hint is now available on Amazon.
The Amazon page proudly boasts that the
itel 40 Plus will be India’s first smartphone with a 7,000mAh battery priced
under Rs 9,000 (US$ 110). The mammoth battery will offer 41 hours of calling
time, 14 hours of video playback, and 16 hours of chatting. The company also
confirmed that the itel 40 Plus will support 18W charging via a USB-C port. The
above image confirms that the itel P40 Plus will feature a punch-hole display
with a thick bottom bezel. The device is equipped with flat edges and a
dual-camera setup with dual-LED flash units on the back. It also seems to
feature a side-facing fingerprint sensor.
While itel has unveiled the green variant
of the itel P40 Plus, it remains uncertain whether additional color options
will be available for this model. For those who don’t know, the itel P40+ will
arrive as an enhanced version of the itel P40, which was announced in March
this year. While the itel P40+ is a new phone, it is already available in
African markets like Nigeria. The device features a 6.8-inch LCD panel that
offers HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has an 8-megapixel front
camera and a 13-megapixel + AI lens dual-camera system on the back.
The itel P40+ is powered by the Unisoc
T606 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and a 7,000mAh battery with 18W charging. The phone
ships with Android 12 OS and offers 128 GB of storage.
