Earlier this year, HMD Global launched the Nokia C12 Pro smartphone in India. This is an entry-level smartphone with a 24nm chipset and Android 12 Go Edition operating system onboard. That being said, Nokia is bringing a new color variant of this smartphone to India. The Nokia Mobile India Twitter handle poster a teaser revealing the Nokia C12 Pro will be arriving in a new Purple color option in India. This will be the first time the device will be getting a new color option since its launch in March. Currently, the C12 Pro starts at Rs 6,999 in India, and we don’t expect that to change for the new color variant.
The Nokia C12 Pro boasts a 6.3-inch LCD
display with a dewdrop notch and a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels (HD+). It is
equipped with an older 28nm Unisoc SC9863A1 chipset and runs on Android 12 Go
Edition. A notable feature of this device is its rare removable battery,
providing a capacity of 4,000mAh. HMD Global ensures a minimum of 2 years of
regular security updates, although no Android updates are guaranteed.
Interestingly, the company offers a 12-month replacement guarantee.
In terms of cameras, the device sports an
8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. It also includes support for
single-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD card
slot, and a MicroUSB port. Lastly, the Nokia C12 Pro is currently available in
Light Mint, Charcoal, or Dark Cyan color options.
