Lenovo has a new sub-brand called "LOQ" which they unveiled at the Innovate 2023 launch event. The sub-brand sits between the budget series Ideapad and the Legion gaming series. Lenovo introduced this to cater to fans who want to have stylish designs and competitive hardware without breaking the bank. There are about 4 models with similar "names and model numbers" (LOQ-15IRH8) shared with us by Lenovo. All of them comprise 15.6-inch displays, Windows 11 Office Home and Student, 8GB RAM, and 512GB storage.
They only differ in terms of processor,
display refresh rate and resolution, and the discreet graphics card used. For
instance, the lowest model among the group features a 15.6-inch FHD 144Hz
screen, Intel Core i5-12450H, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU. On the other
hand, there's a slightly higher model with identical specs but comes with
NVIDIA RTX 4050 GPU instead.
The third LOQ laptop comes with a
15.6-inch FHD 144Hz screen, Intel Core i5-13420H, and NVIDIA RTX 4050. The
fourth one gets the same screen size but the refresh rate and resolution went
up a notch to QHD and 165Hz. While the graphics card used is RTX 4060 and the
SSD uses Gen 4.
Meanwhile, LOQ also has a desktop version
called the LOQ Tower. It boasts Intel Core i7-13700 CPU and features an NVIDIA
RTX 40-series GPU. However, the brand didn't reveal other details for this one.
