Acer recently unveiled the Predator 4K 165Hz IPS gaming monitor in Taiwan. While in Europe, the brand has added a new monitor to its Nitro XV2 lineup called the Nitro XV272URV. With its 27-inch IPS panel, this monitor promises an immersive gaming experience. The display boasts a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) in a 16:9 aspect ratio, delivering sharp visuals at a pixel density of 109 PPI. The 8-bit color depth ensures vibrant and accurate color reproduction.
The Nitro XV272URV is equipped with a
panel that covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space, providing rich and lifelike
colors. It also boasts VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, offering enhanced
dynamic range and brighter highlights. With a peak brightness of 400 nits, the
monitor delivers vivid visuals.
Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the
high refresh rate capabilities of the Nitro XV272URV. The monitor operates at
144 Hz by default, but it can be overclocked to an impressive 170 Hz, allowing
for smoother gameplay. This feature, combined with a rapid 1 ms response time
(GtG), minimizes input lag and ensures a seamless gaming experience,
particularly when playing fast-paced games. AMD FreeSync Premium compatibility
is another highlight of this monitor. It synchronizes the monitor’s refresh
rate with the graphics card, reducing screen tearing and stuttering for a
smoother and more enjoyable gaming session. The inclusion of stereo speakers
and a 3.5 mm audio jack allows users to connect external audio devices or enjoy
audio directly from the monitor.
Connectivity options are abundant on the
Nitro XV272URV. It features DisplayPort and HDMI ports, enabling easy
connection to various devices. Additionally, the monitor offers flexibility
with a 100 x 100 mm VESA mount, allowing users to utilize their preferred stand
or wall mount setup. The Nitro XV272URV is currently available in Europe at a
price of €399. While Acer has listed the monitor on its UK website, specific
pricing and availability details for the UK market have not been disclosed yet.
