Xiaomi, a well-known Chinese brand, has released its latest product, the Xiaomi Router 7000, which has officially gone on sale for 799 yuan (US$ 115). This powerful router is equipped with Qualcomm‘s IPQ 9554 processor and boasts a memory of 1GB + 128MB flash memory. It comes with four 2.5G network ports, and the company claims to be able to access up to 600 devices at the same time.
The Qualcomm IPQ 9554 processor is a
Networking Pro 620, which is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 network platform that supports
six data streams. The processor is built on a 14nm process, with a quad-core
A73 specification and can reach up to 2.2GHz. However, the version carried by
the Xiaomi Router 7000 is a 1.5GHz version.
In terms of speed, the Xiaomi Router 7000 has
two high-performance signal amplifiers added to the 2.4GHz frequency band. The
theoretical speed of 2.4G can reach 1376.1Mbps, and the maximum speed of 5G is
5764.8Mbps. It also supports dual WAN/dual LAN up to 5Gbps aggregation.
The Xiaomi Router 7000 uses 7 external
antennas and 2 internal antennas, including 4 single-frequency antennas for
2.4G, 4 single-frequency antennas for 5G, and one NFC antenna. It also has
Xiaomi device-specific acceleration, which intelligently recognizes
Xiaomi/Redmi mobile phones and opens an exclusive game acceleration channel.
The router also supports software acceleration for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch,
PC, mobile phones, and other devices to reduce game delays and freezes.
What makes the Xiaomi Router 7000 stand
out from its predecessors is that it will be upgraded to support Wi-Fi 7 in the
future. Even without this upgrade, this router is still a top-performing router
that offers reliable and fast connectivity for multiple devices.
