In March, Huawei hosted a significant event in China, during which it unveiled a range of products. Among them were the P60 series, the MatePad 11 (2023), and the FreeBuds 5 TWS earbuds. Recent reports indicate that the company is now preparing to hold another major event in its home country to announce the refreshed 2023 lineup of devices, which includes the MatePad Air, MateBook E, and the MateBook.
A Chinese tipster claims on Weibo that
Huawei is preparing to host a launch event around May 17, where it will unveil
several new products. The brand may introduce the new MatePad Air, Watch 4
series, Matebook E 2023, and Matebook X Pro 2023. However, there’s no official
confirmation yet so we suggest you take the info with a pinch of salt.
The MatePad Air is expected to be a new
lightweight tablet from the brand. Huawei Central recently spotted the slate on
a certification website with DBY2-AL00, DBY2Z-AL00, and DBY2-W00 model numbers.
It is said to come in both Wi-Fi and LTE variants and pack a large 8200mAh
battery. Also launching will be the Watch 4 series, which should include the
Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro. The new wearables are rumored to flaunt a new Zircon
material and satellite connectivity.
Further, the Huawei MateBook E 2023 is
likely to be the successor to the two-in-one device of the same name. The
convertible laptop was launched in 2021 with a portable design and 12.6-inch
display. It gets Intel’s 11th Generation Core i7 with Intel Iris X graphics.
The tipster has also mentioned the MateBook 2023 but we don’t know much about
it at the moment.
