A few days ago, Xiaomi launched two new models of Smart TVs in its S-series lineup in China — Xiaomi TV S65 and Xiaomi TV S75. Today, both models are officially available for purchase in the Chinese market. The Xiaomi TV S65 is priced at 3,499 yuan (US$ 508) but is available at a discounted price of 2,999 (US$ 435), while the Xiaomi TV S75 costs 4,499 yuan (US$ 654) but is currently on sale for 3,999 yuan (US$ 581).
The Xiaomi TV S75 and S65 come with
75-inch and 65-inch screens, respectively, with thin bezels on all four sides
of the display. The panel offers a 4K display with a screen resolution of 3,840
x 2,160 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support, 94 percent DCI-P3 color
gamut, and MEMC support.
They support variable refresh rate, auto
low-latency mode, and AMD Freesync, among others. Under the hood, the devices
are powered by the quad-core Cortex-A73 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and
32GB of internal storage.There are dual stereo speakers which can produce 25W
sound output and are packed with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS: X. It also
features far-field microphones that allow the users to control hands-free
thorugh voice commands.
In the software department, the Smart TV
runs the company’s own MIUI TV custom interface based on the Android operating
system and comes with built-in applications to support smart home device
control. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 6, three HDMI 2.1
ports, two USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet port, Bluetooth 5.2, IR Blaster, and NFC.
There’s also support for a new TV-based cloud gaming, allowing users to play
hundreds of games.
