In a recent conversation with Weibo users, Redmi general manager and president of Xiaomi Group, Lu Weibing revealed that the Xiaomi Pad 6 will be available soon. According to another Xiaomi executive, Wang Hua, the company will release the Xiaomi 13 Ultra this month. There are now speculations that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the Xiaomi Pad 6 will arrive at the same launch event. A screenshot of an online store that has recently circulated online indicates that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be released at 19:00 on April 18.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 series offers two
versions, the regular version and the Pro version. While the regular version
will use the Snapdragon 870 SoC, the Pro model will use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen
SoC. The SD 8+ Gen 1 SoC is based on TSMC’s
4nm process. The CPU is composed of Cortex-X2 + 3 Cortex-A710 + 4 Cortex-A510.
The frequencies of these cores are 3.19GHz, 2.75GHz, and 2.02GHz respectively.
According to the official, in comparison with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the total
power usage of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 reduces by 15%. In addition, the power
consumption of the CPU and GPU reduces
by 30%. It is a decent increase from the SD8 Gen1 SoC.
According to popular Weibo tech blogger
@DCS, both models will feature a Chinese screen that supports HDR10+ and Dolby
Vision. In addition to the flagship SoC that this tablet will bring, it will
also come with a 2.8K LCD screen. This display will also support a resolution
of 2880 x 1800p with a high refresh rate of 120 or 144 Hz. Other features of the
Xiaomi Pad 6 series include a rear dual-camera module and a battery capacity of
10,000 mAh. In addition, it will also support 67W rapid charging, a physical
fingerprint sensor, a new keyboard, and a stylus. Also, the Xiaomi Pad 6 will use a camera
module that is similar in style to the flagship Xiaomi 13.
