Chinese tech gaint Xiaomi has recently launched a new game controller that has both wired and wireless connectivity options. It is a trimmed down version of the Xiaomi GamePad Elite Edition which was launched last year packing a host of features including somatosensory support.The Xiaomi Game controller is compatible with Android and Windows operating systems and is available for purchase on Xiaomi Youpin for 199 yuan (US$ 29).
The controller is designed to be adaptable
to various devices such as Windows computers, Android smart TVs, mobile phones,
and tablets. It also supports different cloud gaming platforms such as Steam,
Xiaomi cloud games, Tencent Start, Netease cloud games, and others.
The Xiaomi game controller has a
large-sized joystick with a Hall linear trigger button that can simulate the
game control effect during accelerator, brake, and shooting. It also has a
built-in 6-axis gyroscope that supports somatosensory control, and the
ergonomic button layout helps reduce wrist stress from long gaming sessions.
The controller supports three connection methods: wireless receiver (it comes
with a WiFi adapter), Bluetooth, and data cable. It can also play
non-handle-operated devices with the mapping function of Xiaomi Game Center.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi Game Controller
has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery that lasts for 20 hours. The
battery can be charged while using the controller in the wired connection mode.
Additionally, it supports dual-handle connection on Windows computers and smart
TVs for two-player game mode.
