A forthcoming Xiaomi device with the model number 23046PNC9C has been granted radio approval by the MIIT authority in China (via. TechGoing). Despite the name of the device not being confirmed, it is suggested to be part of the new Xiaomi Civi-series. The radio certification does not reveal any details about the device’s specifications, as shown in the screen capture below. The “2304” numbers in the model number of the device indicate that the device may launch as early as April in China.
Recent reports say that the Xiaomi Civi
phone, which is coming out soon, will be very thin. On the front, the device is
expected to feature an AMOLED panel with curved edges and a pill-shaped cutout,
which is likely to house a pair of 32-megapixel front-facing cameras.
On the back of the device, there will be a
triple camera unit. The main camera will be an OIS-enabled Sony IMX800. The
screen will support a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. All of the
Xiaomi Civi phones that came before this one had Qualcomm chipsets, but the
next one is likely to have the Dimensity 8200 SoC. The other specifications of
the phone are yet to be revealed.
The final marketing name of the 23046PNC9C
is yet to be confirmed. Several reports have said that the next Civi device
will be called the Xiaomi Civi 3. However, there is a possibility that the
23046PNC9C will be an upgraded version and not a successor to the Xiaomi Civi
2, which went official in September 2022. Hence, it is likely that the device
will launch as the Xiaomi Civi 2s. It is advisable to wait for further reports
to know its other specifications and marketing name.
