Wiko, a brand operating within the HarmonyOS ecosystem, has recently unveiled plans to launch a new 5G smartphone on April 24th. The upcoming device, known as the Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 5G, is based on Huawei’s hardware and software. It has already been listed in China Telecom’s terminal product library with the model number GAR-AN00, along with some preliminary specifications.
The brand has made an official
announcement stating that the Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 5G smartphone will be launched
in China on April 24th, 2023 at 14:30 local time. The teaser image accompanying
the announcement showcases the phone’s rear panel in light blue and gold color
variants, which resembles that of the Huawei Enjoy 60. Additionally, the camera
bump on the handset features a 48-megapixel text, confirming the presence of a
48-megapixel primary lens. Moreover, the image also reveals a side-mounted
fingerprint scanner.
As per China Telecom’s website, the
smartphone will be available in two variants: 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The
website also confirms that the device will be offered in black, blue, and gold
color options. It will boast a dual rear camera setup, with a 48-megapixel
primary lens accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary lens. The front of the
device will feature an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 5G runs on the
HarmonyOS platform. It is compatible with Android applications and also
supports Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), which is a substitute for Google Mobile
Services (GMS). In addition, the phone features NFC, GPS, and an IR blaster,
providing users with a variety of connectivity options.
In terms of technical specifications, the
Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 5G smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch waterdrop notch display.
The handset will come equipped with a 6000mAh built-in battery and a 3.5mm
headphone jack. According to the listing, the 128GB variant of the device will
be priced at CNY 1,399 (US$ 203) and the 256GB variant at 1,599 (US$ 232). For
instance, the Huawei Enjoy 60 comes with a price tag of CNY 1,499 (US$ 230) for
the 128GB model and CNY 1,699 (US$ 260) for the 256GB model.
There is only one discernible difference
between the Huawei Enjoy 60 and the Wiko Hi Enjoy 60, which is the chipset
used. While the Huawei model incorporates the Kirin 710A chipset, the Wiko
variant utilizes the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which also enables 5G
connectivity.
