Tecno is apparently gearing up for a new release within its camera-centric Camon series. The Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5G just recently popped up online in a couple of images and with some leaked specs to boot. We have only seen the camera island of the phone thus far, and it sure is distinctive. As per the source, the Camon 20 Premier 5G will have a leather back to give it an extra premium look and feel.
Regarding specs, the phone is expected to
feature an FHD+, 120Hz flat AMOLED display with a diagonal in the 6.X-inch
range. Powering the phone, we allegedly have a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset
along with 8GB of RAM (plus another 8GB of virtual RAM) and up to 512GB of
storage. The latter is non-expandable, but the Camon 20 Premier 5G is expected
to offer two SIM slots.
Also on the list of specs are an
in-display fingerprint reader and dual stereo speakers, though apparently no
3.5mm audio jack. The camera setup is said to be based around a 108MP main
snapper with sensor-shift OIS and laser autofocus, a 13MP ultrawide and a macro
cam of some sort. The Camon 20 Premier 5G is expected to ship with HiOS 13 on
top of Android 13.
The source claims that the handset will be
available in two color options – pink/burgundy and black with an expected price
somewhere in the INR 25,000 (US$ 304) ballpark. That sounds like a pretty great
value, given the specs. No word on availability yet.
