OPPO Reno 10 Pro+

OPPO is expected to announce the Reno 10 series of smartphones in May or June in China. The lineup is expected to include three models: the Reno 10, Reno 10 Pro, and Reno 10 Pro+. In a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the name of the chip that will power the Reno 10 Pro+.

According to DCS, the Reno 10 Pro+ will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The same chip is present under the hood of the Reno 9 Pro+, which debuted in November 2022 in China. Initial reports about the Find X6 series claimed that the vanilla Find X6 will feature the SD8+G1, but it was eventually cancelled. Instead of it, the company launched the Dimensity 9200-powered Find X6. It appears that a tweaked version of the cancelled Find X6 may debut as the Reno 10 Pro+ in the Chinese market.

Previous reports have claimed that the Reno 10 Pro+ will come equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 front-facing camera. Shown above is the alleged schematic of the Reno 10 Pro Plus, which was leaked in December last year. The device’s back camera will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS). It will be coupled with an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel periscope zoom camera with 2x optical zoom.

The Reno 10 Pro Plus may house a 4,700mAh battery that may support 80W wired charging. It may arrive with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The handset will come preinstalled with ColorOS 13.1-based Android 13 OS. At present, there is no word on the price of the device. For security, it will have an under-display fingerprint scanner.

Other reports say that the Reno 10 Pro will probably have the Dimensity 8200 chipset, while the Reno 10 might have a Snapdragon 7-series chipset.
