The new gaming machines from Dell and Alienware, announced at CES 2023, are packed with powerful features. The Alienware m18 is a performance powerhouse with 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series Laptop GPUs. It has a 165Hz (QHD) refresh rate display with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC support, and offers gaming enthusiasts 14% more screen space and storage capacity of up to 9TB.
The Alienware x16 is a portable companion
with a 6-speaker setup, including up firing tweeters for clarity and dual
woofers for strong bass. It also boasts 100 micro-LEDs on the rear stadium,
enhanced with new AlienFX Scanner, Loop, and Rainbow lighting mods. The laptop
features Alienware’s HyperEfficient Voltage Regulation technology for sustained
performance during long gaming sessions.
The Legend 3.0 design is premium and
futuristic, with softer edges for improved grip and taller 16:10 displays for a
greater field of view. The displays of Alienware m18 and x16 R1 have refresh
rates of 165Hz (QHD) and 240Hz QHD+, respectively, with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus
and G-SYNC support. Dolby Atmos® and Dolby Vision provide immersive sound and
stunning visuals, and ComfortView Plus helps reduce blue light emissions.
The devices also include optimized heat
dissipation with Element 31 thermal interface material, vapour chamber, heat
pipes, and fans for better airflow, as well as a CherryMX ultra low-profile
mechanical keyboard for enhanced haptic experiences. The revamped Alienware
Command Center 6.0 offers improved stability, navigation, and control over
system performance.
