Acer introduces the Predator Helios Neo 16 Gaming laptop with mid-range internals. Acer's latest gaming machine features a wide 16-inch screen with 2 options. The first one has a 2560 x 1600 IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and 500 nits max brightness. The next one has 1920 x 1200 resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate and 400 nits. Both choices have a 100 percent sRGB color gamut, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus with G-SYNC, and a 3ms response time.
Inside, you can choose from the two 13th
gen processors like Core i5-13500HX or Core i7-13700HX processors. They are
paired with up to 32GB dual channel DDR5-4800 RAM and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe
SSD in RAID 0.
For graphics users can choose between RTX
4050 6GB, RTX 4060 8GB, or RTX 4070 8GB with 140W TDP. While the battery uses
90WHr capacity. Acer also highlighted the advanced cooling system featuring an
all-metal 5th gen AeroBlade fan technology, liquid metal thermal paste to keep
the temperature low. Another feature mentioned is the DTS X: Ultra audio
support and RGB backlit keyboards.
For ports, they have 2x Thunderbolt 4, 3x
USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI 2.1 video out, a 3.5mm jack, and a microSD reader. For
wireless connectivity, they have WiFi6 and Bluetooth 5.2. While on the software
side, the laptop runs the latest Windows OS.
Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 starts at EUR
1,599. The sale begins in Germany this coming June 2023, although PH
availability is still unknown.
