OnePlus announced the Ace 2 smartphone in China, which was relaunched at some overseas markets as OnePlus 11R. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, but reports about a new version with Dimensity 9000 have been circulating for the past three weeks.
Benchmark platform AnTuTu revealed a
OnePlus PHP110 device went through its testing process, and it is indeed the
OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition. The result of the benchmark was just over 1
million, which is expected for this Mediatek chipset.
The new OnePlus Ace 2 could go for a
different design on the back compared with the original phone. It could also
swap the 50 MP camera for a 64 MP shooter with OmniVision sensor, and the
charging speed could be lowered down to 80W, despite the fact Xiaomi, vivo, and
Honor all have a smartphone with 100W charging and Dimensity 9000 SoC.
The rest of the specs, like a 6.74” AMOLED
with 1240p resolution and a 16 MP selfie camera, could remain the same. We are
still in the process of leaks and rumors, so much of this information could be
right or wrong - we have to wait for an official confirmation from OnePlus.
