Honor just unveiled the Magic5 Ultimate. At an event held in China the company introduced the Honor5 series and added this special edition for the local market. Under the posh leather-bound exterior, the Magic5 Ultimate is actually a maxed-out 16/512GB Honor Magic5 Pro.
The Honor Magic5 Ultimate ships in Elegant
Black or Burning Orange, both in vegan leather trim, with a premium Montblanc
Bespoke leather case in the retail package. The Ultimate also features USB-C
headphones in the package, unlike the other members of the series.
These niceties aside, the Magic5 Ultimate
is the same, full-on flagship as the Pro. Upfront, it has a 6.81-inch
1312x2848px LTPO OLED of adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, inside there's a
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip with 16GB of RAM, and a 5,450mAh battery with 66W
charging.
There are two camera sensors on the front
- a wider-than-usual 12MP selfie camera, and a depth sensor. On the opposite
side, there's a 50MP triple camera - a 23mm f/1.6 wide unit with a custom
1/1.12" sensor, a 90mm 3.5x periscope zoom, and a 13mm ultrawide with
autofocus and macro capabilities.
You can order the Honor Magic5 Ultimate in
China right now for CNY 6,699 (€ 908, INR 79,155). Shipments are
expected to begin on March 20.
