The launch of this midranger is a bit more puzzling as Vietnam is not expected to see wide deployment of these networks for a while due to infrastructure limits. However, the phone has a different chipset, better screen and even faster charging so perhaps it will still find its place. The Reno8 T 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695 and comes with 8GB RAM.
The 108MP main camera has AF and an f/1.7
aperture and again has two 2MP sensors keeping it company - one is for macro
images, the other for depth data. The 32MP selfie at the front is located in a
centered punch hole this time. The Reno8 T 5G 6.7” is built around a 10-bit
OLED display of FullHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling
rate. It has 2.5D curved sides, and according to the official website, can
reach up to 950 nits brightness.
The 4,800 mAh battery again comes with
SuperVOOC, but this time Oppo revealed the fast charging - it is 67W with the
required adapter supplied in the retail box. The Reno8 T 5G lacks a 3.5 mm
audio jack, but ships with the same ColorOS 13 out of the box.
Oppo Reno8 T 5G is available in Starlight
Black and Dawn Gold. The device is up for pre-order at VND 9.9 million, which
is about US$ 430. Most Vietnamese stores will bundle the device with a Bluetooth
speaker that also works as a nightstand light. Sales in the South-Asian country
will begin on February 10.
