Alongside the Ace 2, OnePlus also launched the Buds Ace TWS earphones. These are aimed at mobile gamers and audio-visual lovers and each bud packs a 12.4mm titanium-plated diaphragm. The OnePlus Buds Ace come with BassWave EQ, which intelligently analyzes the sound source and dynamically compensates for some weak low-frequency sound sources. The TWS earphones also have three sound presets - Balanced (default), Crisp, and Clear - but you also have the option to customize the EQ to your liking if you want.
Additionally, the OnePlus Buds Ace come
with the exclusive PEL Stadium HD Sound Effects for the Peace Elite game for an
enhanced gaming experience. OnePlus is also advertising 47ms latency via
Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity as one of the features for gamers. The rest of the
OnePlus Buds Ace's highlights include touch controls, active noise cancellation
(ANC), and an IP55 rating. Each bud packs a 41 mAh battery, while the charging
case has a 480 mAh cell. OnePlus advertises up to 7 hours of music playback
with AAC codec, 50% volume, and ANC turned off, which goes up to 36 hours when
paired with the charging case. With ANC turned on, total music playback time
reduces to 5 hours and 27 hours, respectively.
Talking about audio calls, OnePlus says
the Buds Ace will offer up to 4 hours of endurance with AAC codec, 50% volume,
and ANC turned off, which can be extended up to 19 hours with the charging
case. With the ANC enabled, you get up to 3.5 hours of battery life, which can
go up to 17 hours with the charging case. Once the earphones run out of juice,
a quick 10-minute top-up should give you 5 hours of playback.
The OnePlus Buds Ace TWS earphones come in
white and black colors and are priced at CNY 249. Sales will begin on February
13 in China, but you can already pre-book a pair through the company's official
Chinese website.
