RedmiBook Pro 15 Enhanced

Not many people know that Xiaomi makes products in 600+ categories. But only in a few niches, it has leading positions. It ranks third in the global smartphone market; it’s the number 1 TV maker in India and China; it’s also among the top notebook manufacturers in the domestic market. So when talking about this brand, we should keep in mind that it’s a leader in many niches. Well, we haven’t heard about a new top-end laptop from this brand long ago. Today, it released the enhanced version of its high-end laptop under the Redmi brand. The Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 15 is upgraded from 8-core i5-12450H to 12-core i5-12500H. Other parameters remain unchanged.

As there is one improvement, let’s see what parameters the processor has. The Intel i5-12500H adopts the Intel 7 process, has 12 cores and 16 threads. Its main frequency is 3.1GHz, and the L3 cache is 18MB. We have already mentioned that the rest of the features remained unchanged. Thus, the laptop still comes with a 15.6-inch 3.2K 90Hz primary color screen. Its resolution is 3200×2000 pixels and supports switching between 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rates. The screen brightness is 400 nits. This means that it can work quite well in sunlight. The screen has a contrast ratio of 1500:1, a high color gamut of 100% sRGB, Delta E < 1.5, supports intelligent photosensitive and DC dimming. The display of the Redmi Book Pro 15 has passed the TÃœV Rheinland hardware-level low blue light certification. There is no doubt that the selling point of this laptop is the screen.

The enhanced version of the RedmiBook Pro 15 comes with three heat pipes and two fans. So the cooling system is able to remove the hot air in seconds. The rest of the noteworthy features include a built-in 72Wh battery, large-cavity speakers with DTS sound effects, oversized touchpad, full-size four-speed backlit keyboard, etc.

At the end, there are some useful interfaces, such as Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.0, USB-A 3.2 Gen1, USB-C 3.2 Gen2, card reader, and 3.5mm audio jack.
