Samsung is expanding its 5G portfolio in India with two affordable smartphones - the Galaxy A14 5G and the Galaxy A23 5G. Sales will begin on Wednesday, January 18, on Samsung.com via Live Commerce. Other online and offline stores will offer the smartphones starting Friday, January 20.
The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G was first
introduced in September 2022 with a 5,000 mAh battery and Snapdragon 695
chipset. It will be sold in India in two memory combinations - 6/128 GB and
8/128 GB, while color choices are Silver, Light Blue, and Orange. Prices are
INR 22,999 (US$ 280/€ 260) and INR 24,999 (US$ 305/€ 285), depending on the choice of
RAM, and users can get INR 2,000 (US$ 25/€ 22) cashback with some bank deals.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G shares some
features with its A23 sibling, like the 6.6” LCD with Full HD+ resolution and
the 5,000 mAh battery. On top of that, it ships with the latest Android 13 and
One UI 5 out of the box. However, here we have only three cameras, a more
affordable chipset and less RAM and internal storage.
Offered in Dark Red, Light Green, or
Black, the Galaxy A14 5G costs INR16,499 (US$ 202/€ 185) for the 4/64 GB version,
INR 18,999 (US$ 232/€ 215) for 6/128 GB and INR 20,999 (US$ 257/€ 237) for 8/128 GB.
Users can get INR 1,500 (US$ 18/€ 17) cashback with bank deals.
