More handheld gaming consoles are appearing these days, and now a startup called Abxylute makes one powered by Android. The device somewhat takes inspiration from the Steam Deck it has offset joysticks, XYAB face buttons, a d-pad, two bumpers, and two triggers.
The startup Abxylute company claims it has
good grips and is lightweight at 410 grams w/ 250 x 115 x 30mm measurements. It
goes with a 7-inch wide IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080p and a
standard 60Hz refresh rate.
Inside, it uses a MediaTek Genio 350
(MT8385) quad-core processor with Mali-G52 GPU. The chipset has 4 ARM
Cortex-A53 CPUs with 2GHz clock speed. Moving forward, the device has 4GB
LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB expandable memory, and a 5,000mAh battery. Most details are
still limited including the other features, connectivity, and the Android
version it will use.
Anyway, since it is running Android
software, you should be able to install many games from the PlayStore's vast
library alongside the game streaming apps such as NVIDIA GeForce Now, Xbox
Cloud Gaming, and Steam Link.
US price:
- Abxylute Android Gaming Handheld - USD 200 for early supporters

The startup is selling it cheaper
for those who will support them via crowdfunding but it is pricier for the
retail price. The brand hasn't said yet its official release date but its goal
is to release the handheld in Q1 2023.
