Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi launched five new devices today. These include the Redmi K60 series, Redmi Watch 3, Band 2, and Buds 4 Youth Edition. The Redmi Buds 4 Youth Edition is the third device after the Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro that debuted earlier this year. As the name suggests, the latest TWS earphone comes with toned-down specifications and is the base model in the Buds 4 lineup.
The Redmi Buds 4 Youth Edition look
similar to the Apple AirPods. The TWS earphones feature a half stem and
slightly curved ear tips. They are IP54-rated dust and splash-proof. Users can
perform various tasks by tapping on the stem of the earbuds. The Redmi Buds 4 Youth Edition is equipped
with a 12mm dynamic driver for clear bass and treble. It has environmental
noise cancellation for clear quality on calls. The TWS earphones feature
Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and low latency mode. They support fast pairing as
well.
The Redmi Buds 4 Youth Edition is backed
by a 20-hour battery life with a charging case. Each earbud is claimed to offer
5 hours of usage. The audio device can be topped up via USB-C port. The Redmi Buds 4 Lite carry a price tag of RMB
139 (US$ 20). They are offered in Sunny White, Midnight Black, Sunset Orange, and
Trendy Green colours. The TWS earphones are available for purchase in China.
