Last month, tipster Digital Chat Station suggested the Oppo Find X6 Pro will have three 50MP cameras on the back, and today we learned the vanilla Find X6 will match that. According to the report, the main cam will skip on the 1” Sony IMX989 sensor and bring the smaller but still capable Sony IMX890 with an f/1.8 aperture with OIS. The Find X6 camera setup is also co-developed with Hasselblad and will have MariSilicon X NPU.
If the main camera setup sounds familiar,
that’s because it is the same in several Oppo phones, including the Find N2
foldable and the Reno9 Pro series - both the Plus and the regular.
There aren’t many details on the other two
50MP cameras, but the leakster claimed one is an ultra-wide-angle shooter. In
contrast, the other is machine translated as “basic periscope”, and we can only
assume they mean classic 2-3x telephoto zoom like in the predecessor Find X5. The
phone will be 9.2 mm thick in the base, 12.3 mm at the camera, and will weigh
207 grams.
